New native Konnex (KNX) protocol for Topkapi

Topkapi information

Topkapi now supports a new communication protocol widely recognised in the building industry: the Konnex (KNX) protocol. Available natively from Topkapi version 6.3 onwards.

KNX is a fieldbus for building automation (find out more). Along with the BACnet protocol, it is one of the internationally recognised standardised communication protocols for the building sector.

Topkapi now offers this protocol natively (version 6.3, updated from the latest release) as an option. Via a TCPIP/KNX router, it enables Topkapi to interface with one or more KNX networks to read and write the information circulating on the bus. Two modes are available for reading: message interception or on-demand reading.

Equipment can be auto-configured in Topkapi using the Softlink configuration assistant by importing a configuration file generated by the ETS software, the KNX bus design and configuration software.
