These modems, which only support GSM (2G) and UMTS (3G) networks, are now being replaced by the new TGxxxL LTE/4G range. The replacement model recommended by AREAL for Topkapi voice synthesis on-call systems is the TG200L LTE/4G.
AREAL is currently evaluating this equipment and will soon update its documentation to include it.
This move towards 4G is part of the broader context of the gradual phasing out of older generations of mobile networks in France. It is recommended that you plan to replace the equipment concerned before the operators' final shutdown dates.
